CBS announced on Monday that it had signed a five-year deal to broadcast the Globes, providing a much-needed shot in the arm for a program that was on life support not long ago. “CBS’s collaboration with the Globes for this year’s broadcast was a big win for both of us and established strong momentum for awards shows in 2024,” George Cheeks, the president of CBS, said in a statement. NBC, the longtime broadcaster of the Globes, gave up the event after several ethics and diversity scandals imperiled the award show. In 2021, The Los Angeles Times reported that the organization that administers the Globes had no Black members, setting off a significant backlash in Hollywood.

CNN —Pedro Pascal is not one to deliver a status quo award show acceptance speech, and we couldn’t be happier about it. “I’m going to have a panic attack and I’m going to leave,” Pascal said at the end of his speech with a smirk, as he walked off stage clutching his statuette. Backstage with Netflix’s SAG correspondant Tan France, Pascal admitted he really wasn’t sure how he felt about how his speech went. The two are actually friends in real life, Pascal told France, and they’ve known each other for years. “It’s been amazing to see him in that show,” Pascal said of Culkin’s turn in “Succession.”

"The vision is a data highway between Earth and space," Mendler told CNBC. "Space is getting easier along so many different dimensions but still the actual exercise of sending data to and from space is difficult. Rather than build rockets or satellites, Northwood aims to mass produce ground stations. Also known as teleports, ground stations are the typically large and often circular antennas that connect to satellites in space.
